Cookies

Cookies are small text files which are placed on your computer and are saved by your browser. They are used to make the website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called „session cookies.“ They are automatically deleted after your leave our site. Other cookies will remain archived on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website.

You can adjust the settings of your browser to make sure that you are notified every time cookies are placed and to enable you to accept cookies only in specific cases or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific situations or in general and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functions of this website may be limited.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

The provider of the site automatically collects and saves information which your browser automatically sends to us in so-called server log files. These are as follows:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system and its interface
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • date and time of the server request

For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

4. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics, which is provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses technologies that make it possible to recognise users for the purpose of analysing user patterns (e. g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The legal basis for the use of this analytical tool is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within the Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA first and then truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of our website operator to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other website and internet related services to the website operator. The IP address transmitted from your browser through Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objecting to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this site: [ga_optout].

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Outsourced data processing

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google, and we fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

REASON: I track and analyze my website using Google Analytics so that I can see how it is being used. I use this information to improve the usability of the website and to improve my offerings on the website. My only interest is to provide my website in the best possible way so that all visitors can find exactly what they are looking for.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use the so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser stores on the user's computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify the user. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers' websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

More information on Google AdWords and Google conversion tracking can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When disabling cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

REASON: Of course I try to draw attention to my website and thus to me and my services via Google Adwords. Tracking the ads is part of this, so that I can understand whether the ad was effective or not. For example, I want to make sure that a person who came to digitallotsen.ruhr via a Google ad actually contacts me. This is measured in the form of conversion tracking, among other things.
